The Maniapoto Settlement is at risk. Nanaia needs to stand down as the Labour Candidate for Hauraki Waikato.

Nanais’s Positions as the Negotiator for Maniapoto And Minister Of Parliament for the Labour Party Are in Conflict Or Morally in Conflict.

1. The Treaty of Waitangi (removal of conflict of interest) Amendment Bill, demonstrated there is no conflict of interest because Nanaia removed herself from the treaty portfolio managed under the Labour Party.

2. The Labour Party has a set of values to enable economic relations, legislations, governmental policies which will affect the Maniapoto Settlement because of immoral practises.

3. As the Maniapoto Negotiator, Nanaia will act in the best interest of her whanau values, especially water ownership and te reo for the people.

4. As the Labour MP, Nanaia will act in the best interest of her party values and not support compulsory Te Reo and deny Maori ownership to the water.

5. Morally this is in conflict because all people are confused and are calling for Nanaia to stand down from one of her roles.

6. Should Nanaia loose her candidate role, at least Nanaia will claim her pay rise $400,000 as the Maniapoto Negotiator. Should Nanaia win her candidate role, it was at the risk of her Labour values vs. Maniapoto Settlement. The Settlement is not yet guaranteed.

The Maniapoto Settlement is at risk. Nanaia needs to stand down as the Labour candidate and focus on the Maniapoto Settlement to further remove any conflict, morally.
