Top Talent and Endless Action at Big Boys Toys This Weekend

Big Boys Toys 2016 is lining up to be a stellar weekend of high energy, death-defying, stunts and amazing autos, packed into three big days this October 28th-30th at Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds.

As always the Milwaukee Action Area is where you’ll see top athletes showing off their best tricks to a packed stadium of fans.

New Zealand-born international extreme sports star Levi Sherwood is the headline act this weekend. Nicknamed the ‘Rubber Kid’, Sherwood’s incredible mid-air extension motorcycle stunts and steadfast precision is not to be missed!

The 24 year old Red Bulls X-Fighters World Champion has had an impressive career, winning three medals at the X Games, and the 2016 winner of the inaugural Nitro World Games Freestyle Moto-X title.

Home-grown international BMX rider, ‘Warrior’ Jed Mildon is another who is a global standout. Mildon rode onto the scene in 2011, claiming the awe-inducing title of first ever rider to complete a BMX Triple Backflip, earning him millions of fans around the world.

But he didn’t stop there! Since then he has been credited with the completion of eight ground breaking BMX stunts. In 2015, his professional podium moment arrived when he landed the world’s very first BMX quadruple backflip, propelling him into international stardom.

Mildon has also brought his US born mate, BMX rider Kurtis Downs along for the ride.

Downs, a medallist in the Biggest Trick category at the 2016 Nitro World Games, is a technical genius, possessing the skill to stun with tricks such as the 360 Superman Indian Air Tailwhip.

These stars, plus a support crew of local talent will be performing throughout the weekend.

Action packed stunts aren’t the only ways to be impressed at Big Boys Toys this weekend, with classic supercars such as the Ferrari F12 TDF and the Aston Martin DB11 revving up crowds with their stylistic features as well as Hot Rods, tech products, tools and accessories.

“Big Boys Toys is the ultimate day out for the whole family, with so many things to see and do, for people of all ages,” says show director Dean Wilson.

“Make sure you’re part of the action this weekend!”
