This will be the fourth meeting in the Rugby World Cup between these nations, South Africa have won two of the three previous games between the sides in the competition.

Fact 2. South Africa are one of two sides to hold a winning record over the All Blacks in the Rugby World Cup (Australia also), while another win would see the Springboks become the first team to beat the All Blacks three times in the competition.

Fact 3. The All Blacks are playing in their seventh World Cup semi-final, no side has reached the last four on as many occasions.

Fact 4. New Zealand have won 10 of the last 12 Tests between the sides, with the two defeats in that run both coming in South Africa.

Fact 5. in for the All Blacks would be their 13th consecutive victory in the Rugby World Cup, the longest run ever recorded in the tournament.

Fact 6. After scoring two tries in their opening fixture the All Blacks have scored 32 tries in their four games since, recording at least seven per game.

Fact 7. One more try for Julian Savea would see him record the most tries in a single World Cup campaign; he has scored eight at this World Cup, level with Jonah Lomu in 1999 and Bryan Habana in 2007.

Fact 8. Bryan Habana needs just one try to stand alone as the top try scorer in Rugby World Cup history; he is currently tied with Jonah Lomu on 15 tries.

Fact 9. Bryan Habana is the only player to appear in every minute of this RWC so far, whilst Francois Louw has played more minutes than any other forward in the competition (387).

Fact 10. The All Blacks are yet to lose a scrum at this tournament winning 30/30 on their own put in at this tournament.

Fact 11. Richie McCaw will captain the All Blacks for the 12th time in the RWC should he feature in this game and could record his 11th RWC win as captain; no captain will have played, or won, as many games in the tournament’s history.

Fact 12. South Africa have the best tackle success rate in the 2015 RWC so far, completing 91% of their tackles and missing an average of just 12 per game.

Fact 13. Schalk Burger (80) has made 20 more carries than any other player at this tournament; he also ranks third for most tackles (55) and third for most offloads (17).
Fact 14. Springbok centre Damian de Allende tops the charts for most defenders beaten (21) in the tournament so far, despite playing just 260 minutes of the competition.

Fact 15. All Blacks full back Ben Smith has made more metres over the gainline (397) than anyone else at the 2015 RWC, this coming from 56 carries, 13 more than any other Kiwi.
