CricHQ announces charity partnership with the Cricket Live Foundation

CricHQ, the world’s largest digital cricketing platform, is using its dual expertise of cricket and digital technology to help improve the computer literacy of hundreds of underprivileged children in Sri Lanka and India.

CricHQ today announced its first charitable partnership as the official Technology Partner of New Zealand-based charity the Cricket Live Foundation (CLF).

CLF runs the Life through Cricket programme which uses cricket as a vehicle to develop the life skills and education of underprivileged children.

CricHQ Chief Marketing Officer, Jarred Sewell, said the sponsorship arrangement with CLF was in line with CricHQ’s mission to encourage and enable participation in cricket through technology.

“The team at CLF already do a fantastic job of using cricket as a vehicle for social change, supporting children to learn as well as develop their interpersonal skills through sport.

“As CLF’s Technology Partner, CricHQ’s aim is to assist CLF to expand its existing tuition programme, using our cloud-based digital platform to improve the children’s digital literacy,” Jarred Sewell said.

As part of the new partnership, CLF coaches and managers will have access to tablets to improve the children’s digital literacy and numeracy skills. Cricket Live Foundation Founder, Alex Reese, says CricHQ’s support will allow its team to take the children’s learning to the next level.

“Thanks to CricHQ, the tablets will be with our teams in India and Sri Lanka by the beginning of June. Most importantly it will allow the children to track their progress through the Life through Cricket programme, improving their digital competency while also keeping them engaged in the game.

“All CLF tournaments and matches will be scored on the CricHQ platform and will be able to be viewed by anyone, anywhere, at any time, ball by ball.

“I look forward to a long and successful relationship with CricHQ and I know just how much their support will positively affect the lives of children in Sri Lanka and India,” Alex Reese said.

“When children are having fun they are learning as well. The aim of this partnership is to give children the opportunity benefit from the learning new technologies offer, while keeping cricket at the core of everything we do,” Jarred Sewell said.
