Delorean to Welcome Back To The Future on Iconic Date at Lower Hutt Drive-in Cinema

Firefly Cinemas, New Zealand's only drive-in cinema, is hosting Back To The Future Part 2 - the classic movie that see's Marty McFly & Doc come to the "future" on the21st of October 2015.

In the front row at the drive-in there will also be a DeLorean for that perfect photo opportunity to remember this iconic date. For the past two years Wellington's drive-in cinema has called Trentham Racecourse home, but this coming season the drive-in will be taken around the lower North Island - starting with Lower Hutt in October.

Marketing Director, Brady Dyer, said "Trentham has been a great home to us for the past two years, but we are looking forward to taking the drive-in to new parts of the wider region and letting other communities enjoy these nostalgic events".

Director Jonno Morrissey was excited to welcome food carts to the events adding "They will really bring a great vibe to events". He also added that the new travelling model allowed "Firefly Cinemas to generate significant funds for local charities".

Over the Halloween weekend at the end of October they will be showing What We Do In The Shadows, Hocus Pocus and The Omen. These Lower Hutt events will support Heart Kids Wellington, Riding For The Disabled and Te Awa Kairangi Trust. Each was set to make at least $1,000.
