Ocean Film Festival World Tour comes ashore in New Zealand.

The Ocean Film Festival World Tour is coming to New Zealand this March, giving kiwis a chance to witness some of the best ocean related films from around the world.

This year’s festival features eight short films on topics ranging from free-diving with sharks in South Africa to traditional boatbuilding in Norway to surfing massive waves wherever they make landfall.

Tour organiser Mark Banham says, “The great thing about the films is that they’re stories that have appeal beyond their subject matter.”

“The films get past the ‘Dude, how rad was that!’ fare of your average surfing and diving flicks and go deeper to shed light on the inspiring characters and spine-tingling scenery,” he says.

“So whether you’re a surfer or a diver, or just a little curious about the ‘other’ two thirds of the planet – you’ll get a kick out of these films.”

The tour will be screening in Auckland at the Capitol Cinema on the 18th and 19th of March. Doors open at 6:30pm and the Show starts at 7:00pmTickets are available through Eventfinda.co.nz
