CIVIC EVENTS PRESENTS:
THE CLASSIC HITS WINERY TOUR 2013
DATES AND VENUES ANNOUNCED,
100th SHOW IN 2013
Civic Events, promoter of the annual Classic Hits Winery Tour, is proud to announce the dates and venues for the 2013 Winery Tour series commencing February 2013 – including what will be the 100th show on the iconic annual tour.
Now in its seventh year, the Classic Hits Winery Tour is a firmly established 100% Kiwi music national touring event, which has more than doubled in size since its inception in 2007.
A major milestone will be reached in 2013 with the Winery Tour poised to celebrate its 100th show on Friday 8 February at Black Barn Vineyards in Havelock North.
There are five new venues for 2013: Church Road in Napier, the famous Tui Brewery in Mangatainoka (Manawatu), Waitiri Creek (Gibbston, near Queenstown), the Dunedin show moves to Forsyth Barr Stadium and the Hamilton show returns to Mystery Creek, its home from 2008-2011.
With 17 shows on offer across 16 spectacular outdoor venues, the 2013 Tour will visit the following regions - NORTH ISLAND: Tutukaka, Matakana, Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Napier, Havelock North, Gisborne, Martinborough, Mangatainoka & New Plymouth; SOUTH ISLAND: Blenheim, Upper Moutere, Waipara, Dunedin & Gibbston.
Says co-promoter Brent Eccles “We are really proud of the achievement of reaching our 100th live show and the fact that it falls at Black Barn Vineyards, one of our founding venues, is a fitting coincidence.
“It's a credit to all of the artists and crew and our winery venue partners who have worked with us over the last seven years.
“The fact that this is, as always, an all-New Zealand affair makes it an even sweeter taste!”
The Classic Hits Winery Tour kicks off with its traditional opening show at Ascension Wine Estate in Matakana on Saturday 2 February and concludes at Mystery Creek in Hamilton on Sunday 3rd March.
The artist lineup will be announced in October. For all details and regular updates go to www.winerytour.co.nz. Sign up to the newsletter or become a friend on Facebook and be one of the first to see the exciting line up for 2013.
