Veuve Clicquot paints Queenstown ‘Clicquot Yellow’

The highly anticipated Clicquot in the Snow program returned to Australasia’s biggest winter playground on July 30. The four day celebration of champagne style après ski was officially launched on Thursday July 30 which saw a select group of VIP guests including the likes of Kathryn Wilson, Tim Alpe and Julie Christie descend on Queenstown for an afternoon of adventure with a twist in true Veuve Clicquot style.

Familiar New Zealand faces took on the winter playground on Thursday for an exclusive VIP experience celebrating the international event. The day started with a shot of adrenalin with guests being taken by jet boat from The Hilton to a remote location where they were greeted by a helicopter transfer to Cecil Peak for a flute of Clicquot looking over the iconic Queenstown Village. The VIP guests were then taken to The Lakehouse at Jacks Point for a Veuve Clicquot degustation lunch hosted by Veuve Clicquot Ambassador Elaine Thompson.

The adventure filled day was then concluded by a glamourous launch party held at a private home in Queenstown where locals and visitors to Queenstown toasted to the 2015 program. The guest list was a who’s who of New Zealand and included Sara Tetro, Katie Jacobs, Rai Banbury, Hervé Lampert, Storm Bellamy, and Byron Wells.

The four day Clicquot in the Snow celebration runs from Thursday 30th July to Sunday 2nd August, offering locals and visitors to Queenstown activities such as Clicquot Breakfast sessions at the Hilton, a Clicquot Snow Bar on Coronet Peak with DEDON fire pit, a Clicquot long lunch at Botswana Butchery and the official Kathryn Wilson Footwear Catwalk Show.
