The round win was testament to the amount of skill and hard work Ross and the Concept Motorsport team have put in over the season to make the Nissan competitive in it's inaugural campaign.
Ross hit hard in the opening race taking a clear win on Saturday morning over the field and on Sunday afternoon placed second close behind Australian Jason Bargwanna who managed to clinch the overall NZV8 Touring Cars TLX Series title on Sunday.
However it was the final race of the weekend which attracted the most interest which was a longer more involved battle of 25 laps including a mandatory drive through the pits for both the NZV8 Touring Cars TLX and the V8ST Spec cars who were racing alongside each other for the first time ever at the event.
Ross won the final NZV8 Touring Cars TLX race of the season in style fighting changeable conditions on slick tyres over 25 laps where many teams opted to put wet rubber on.
He also placed fifth overall and in amongst the currently faster spec V8ST cars who were racing as a separate class.
"We stayed out on slicks to fight the battle on a circuit which was half dry, half wet and the dry corners kept moving throughout the race, coming up over the hill where one lap it was wet then the next it was dry. I just had to feel my way through the conditions." said Ross.
Adding to an exceptional weekend of racing was Lower Hutt driver James McLaughlin joining Ross on the podium with second overall for the weekend.
Mclaughlin took the placing while driving the Concept Motorsport Holden TLX, last year's championship winning car and run by Ross and the team.
Twice over the weekend the pair finished one and two more evidence of the ability and hard work behind the scenes with Concept Motorsport providing not one but two quick and reliable TLX race packages.
Winning the final round at Pukekohe was as significant for Ross as it was historic for New Zealand motorsport when for the first time the NZV8 Touring Cars TLX and TL cars raced alongside rivals from the V8 SuperTourers on the same circuit at the same time.
In their current specifications the TLX cars lap the circuit around two seconds off the V8ST pace with parity over the two quite different V8 powered models to be addressed during the off season before racing together again in November.
"In terms of entertainment value it was a great weekend having the V8ST cars on track with us." said Ross.
Nick Ross extends his gratitude to the team and sponsors who have made this extremely successful season happen and very much looks forward to November when the season begins and the new campaign for the title begins.
"A big thanks goes out to all the team, the sponsors and my family for another very successful season without you all this would not happen." said Ross.
