Kick off Money Week by
attending a CAP Money Course
Life South set
to run CAP Money in Early October 2014
Money Week is just around the corner – so to celebrate, why not make it your goal to get your finances in order?
Life South Church in Mangere is offering the FREE CAP Money Course to help local residents gain more financial freedom, as it is never too late to start budgeting and managing your money better.
This three-night course, developed by international debt counseling charity Christians Against Poverty (CAP), offers a smart, simple way for people to build, balance, and stick to their budgets. It comes with access to an online money management tool that takes the work out of creating—and implementing—a budget.
Doug White, the Senior CAP Money coach who facilitates the sessions, shares that CAP Money is ideal for anyone who wants to discover how to do more with the money coming in, regardless if there’s excess cash flow or a lack each month.
“The CAP Money course is so useful because it gives people control of their money, whatever their goals may be. During the sessions, they decide how much they want to spend and how much they want to save. And then, we show them the best way to reach these goals,” explains Doug.
Over the 4 years Doug has been running the course, CAP attendees have seen significant results, including being able to pay down mortgages more quickly, take holidays and begin saving more per week.
Doug will lead the free, three-night course on consecutive Monday evenings: 06 October, 13 October and 20th October at Life South in Mangere.
“We’re thrilled to once again offer CAP Money and help people better manage their finances,” Doug shares.

About
Christians Against Poverty
Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is a national debt counseling charity working through a network of centre’s based in local churches throughout the UK, Australia, New Zealand and, most recently, Canada. Together with these churches, CAP aims to show God’s love in action by providing sustainable poverty relief through debt counseling, advice and practical tools, like CAP Money.
The charity began in 1996 when John Kirkby, armed with a 10 donation, began to help people in his local community who were trapped in debt. The charity came to New Zealand in 2007 and, in seven years, has reached thousands of people through CAP Money Courses and helped 211 families become totally debt free through CAP Debt Help.
CAP’s vision is to lift Kiwis out of poverty and debt by having at least one CAP Debt Centre operating in every major suburb, town and city over the next 5 years, running the CAP Money Course in partnership with 500 local churches, and helping people back into work through its newest programme, CAP Job Clubs.
