Hertz Teeing Off For NZ Golf

Auckland, New Zealand – 27 February, 2015 – After a successful first year as the official car rental supplier for New Zealand Golf (NZ Golf), Hertz, has extended its partnership for a second year.

The relationship offers NZ Golf members access to special car rental rates whether they are travelling around locally or globally – with a bonus discount to celebrate the ISPS Handa New Zealand Women’s Open.

Held this weekend, from February 27-March 1, Hertz is offering spectators at the ISPS Handa New Zealand Women’s Open in Christchurch the chance to win a host of prizes and exclusive giveaways. Golfing enthusiasts who try their luck at the golf simulator in the Hertz Longest Drive Competition are in with the chance to play a round of golf with a pro. At the end of the tournament, the longest overall shot will be announced with the lucky winner receiving the money-can’t-buy prize.

Mark Righton, the NZ Country Manager for Hertz, said he is excited by the opportunity of continuing to support NZ Golf.

“Golf is one of NZ’s biggest sports, and we’re excited to be getting in on the action at this weekend’s NZ Women’s Open with our Longest Drive Competition and exclusive giveaways for spectators. We are also celebrating the success of our NZ Golf partnership by increasing members’ savings to 20 percent during March,” he said.

“Golfers often need to travel long distances and Hertz is delighted to help assist players arrive at the next fairway in comfort and with ease.”

NZ Golf members will receive 20 per cent off all Hertz daily car rental rates when travelling to tournaments, on business trips or for leisure. This discount applies to bookings made in March 2015 at home and abroad, when the customer discount program (CDP) code 2013339 is quoted while booking. From April 1, the discount will revert to 10 per cent.

New Zealand Golf is a membership based organisation with approximately 115,000 members at 395 clubs in 15 District Associations throughout New Zealand.

Hertz is the largest worldwide airport general use car rental brand. This discount is available at more than 8,800 locations in 150 countries globally and applies to all Hertz vehicle groups including economy, intermediate, full-size, 4WD and mini vans.
