Richter City home game 3 Smash Malice vs Comic Slams

Roller derby teams face off for spot in season final

Wellington’s Richter City Roller Derby league will host the final game of their 2014 home season round robin on Saturday 2 August at Kilbirnie Rec Centre to determine which teams head into the season final.

2013 home season champions Comic Slams – in blue and silver – will face off against leopard-clad Smash Malice, who were defeated earlier in the season but are still in the running to appear in the final on Saturday 30 August.

Both teams have had loyal crowd followings since 2011, and this heated match-up for a spot in the final will be no exception. With a more cosy and homegrown atmosphere than Richter’s former home TSB Arena, fans will have to get in quick for the limited number of seats available at Kilbirnie Rec Centre.
