London Olympic Venue: KIWI HOUSE REOPENS   9 Aug 2012

Kiwi House in London will re-open this evening from 1800h (UK time) after an outdoor BBQ fire last night temporarily closed the facility.

The venue underwent checks by the relevant authorities this morning and approvals were given to re-open.

Kiwi House will continue to offer New Zealand Gourmet Pies, coffee and beverages and play the New Zealand live SKY feed on the big screens.

The garden BBQ area will remain closed.

The fire broke out in Kiwi House yesterday evening at approximately 7.30pm and guests were swiftly and safely evacuated. Damage was limited to a corner of the outdoor BBQ area and the 1 Granary Square building in which Kiwi House is located was untouched.

No injuries were reported.
